About This Grant

The Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL) is proud to announce the launch of a new annual scholarship program beginning in the 2026-2027 hockey season. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting youth hockey players both on and off the ice by providing financial assistance to families facing economic hardship and recognizing players who demonstrate strong character and a passion for the game.

Founded in 1978 and rooted in the Ilitch family’s vision, LCAHL is one of the largest and most respected youth hockey organizations in the country. While many alumni have advanced to junior, collegiate, and professional levels, our core mission remains developing well-rounded individuals through a positive hockey experience.

Each season, up to ten (10) athletes will be awarded a $1,000 Hardship Relief Grant. The funds may be used for team dues, equipment, travel, or other hockey-related expenses. By reducing financial barriers, LCAHL aims to keep the sport inclusive and accessible for all players, regardless of background.
