Age 74. Beloved husband of Kathryn for 47 years. Loving dad of Cristina, Stephanie (Frank) Nasal, Amanda (Michael) Redmond, John, and Christopher. Cherished Papa of Frankie, Lilianna, Nicholas, Carter, and Abigail. Dear brother of Anthony (Cindy) and Joseph (Jilrae).
He was deeply loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He will be especially missed by his faithful and favorite companion, Cannoli.
Sam was a longtime volunteer with the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL), where he dedicated his time and support to the hockey community. His love for the league and the people who make it special was a meaningful part of his life. That legacy continues through his daughter, Cristina, who currently serves as the LCAHL House Director.
Sam will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, his dedication to his community, and the many lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Visitation Wednesday from 1-8 PM with 7 PM Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City (between Ford and Cherry Hill). In state Thursday at 9:30 am until time of mass at 10 am at the Church of the Divine Child,1055 N. Silvery Lane at Wilson in Dearborn.
